MENTORS WHO MATTER & EXPAND FREEDOM, TRUTH, & COMPASSION
HERE ARE JUST A FEW OF THE MENTORS WE HAVE HAD AT APOGEE
These are our leaders who have a great vision of the future for our children and ourselves.
Brian Walsh
Hello, my name is Brian Walsh, and I have had the privilege of being the owner of CrossFit Gahanna for over 10 years. During this time, I have dedicated myself to training individuals in our community and educating them on the idea that fitness can be both enjoyable and accessible—regardless of where you begin. We believe that fitness is best experienced in a supportive group environment, guided by a coach who helps each person strive toward their best self.
Over the years, I have envisioned expanding our gym's offerings to include education in various aspects of life beyond fitness. This includes personal development in areas such as leadership, financial management, and overall well-being. To realize this vision, we have partnered with Apogee to establish Apogee Gahanna as an educational center for the entire family.
Our mission is to provide a unique educational experience for children that focuses on cultivating essential life skills, hands-on learning, and self-directed education. We are committed to helping families grow together, which is why we also offer programs designed to foster strong family bonds and align individual and collective goals.
We understand that every journey is unique, and we are here to support you, no matter where you are on your path. We invite you to come and discover what we are all about and explore the resources we have available to assist you in your journey through life. Thank you for being a part of our community.

Amy Keller
Amy has spent her entire career seeking meaningful ways to nurture curiosity, independence, and resilience in young people—and her journey is still just beginning. With a background in music education, early childhood care, and clinical mental health, she brings a unique blend of warmth, insight, and experience to her role at Apogee Gahanna.
After earning her Bachelor’s in Music Education from Old Dominion University, Amy spent over a decade working in preschools and as a nanny before becoming a licensed mental health therapist. She holds a Master’s in Social Work from The Ohio State University and is trained in EMDR, CBT, and child-centered play therapy, specializing in trauma, anxiety, and grief. Over the years, she worked with countless young clients who struggled with the pressures of traditional school—and eventually realized she wanted to be part of the solution, not just the treatment.
Since 2023, Amy has worked in learner-driven microschools and hasn’t looked back. She loves watching children grow into confident, capable leaders and believes that real learning happens when kids feel challenged and inspired. Apogee Gahanna felt like the right next step—a place that beautifully blends creativity and structure, and balances the needs of both the individual learner and the family as a whole.
Outside of school, Amy enjoys hiking, camping, crafting miniatures, and reading good books with a cat on her lap.
“It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to
have tried to succeed.”
